New homebuyer support now available – meaning you can buy your own home in 2026.
BuyAssist is one of a number of shared equity programs that are helping households to buy their own home.
On average, the BuyAssist program social impact investors provide 25% of the property price as home buyer support. This means the average customer’s 1st mortgage is only 75% of the property price.
This makes buying your own home more affordable and more attainable – turning your dream into reality.
Many of our home buyers can also access first homeowner grants or other government homebuyer incentives (subject to eligibility).
Our licenced real estate referrral partner works with you to help you find the right home.
Homes BuyAssist supported homebuyers can purchase include house and land, townhouses and apartments in Greater Melbourne and across regional Victoria. With no deposit required we can help you buy sooner.
Once a property is found, our banking partners will assess your home loan application and confirm your borrowing. The equity support will then be confirmed by the investor.
Household eligibility for home buyer support includes stable employment, Australian resident or permanent citizen, and a good track record in renting.
Our program is different the Commonwealth Government Help to Buy Program as BuyAssist investors do not require you to have a deposit. Our income limits for 2025-2026 are also slightly higher than the Federal Government’s help to buy program. With carefully targeted social impact support we are helping more households buy their home.
