BuyAssist recently met with some of our BuyAssist supported homebuyers to hear and capture their homebuying stories.
We met with Katie and Brendan who purchased their land and had their home built in 2020 with the support of BuyAssist and National Affordable Housing investment. They now share it with their little girl.
Katie explained that buying their own home was a a dream that became possible with the support of BuyAssist:
“We were stuck renting. With the increased costs of buying a house it was just beyond us.
We wanted to be able to have something that we could call our own and for our daughter to grow up knowing that buying your own home was something that was achievable. BuyAssist helped us through the whole process. Right from the start they helped us find our house and land package, they helped us find our mortgage broker, and they were always available to answer our questions and help us understand what we were signing up for.
Without BuyAssist we would not have been able to achieve our dream of owning our own home.”
We were also excited to meet Yumna and Hassan on their recently purchased block of land in Deanside, Victoria.
With land now settled with the support of BuyAssist homebuyer support funds, they are excited about seeing their plans for their property come to life:
“We are a young family and very keen to buy a house of our own. Our biggest barrier was finance. It was really hard for us. BuyAssist was a big help to us in achieving our goal and having our dream house that we always wanted.
Now you can see the land over there that is yours with the banner that says ‘sold’ – it is a very happy feeling.”
